This is a handsome Apache basketry tray. The design appears simple but is in fact complex. The design can be seen as two large three petal flowers which overlap. The intersections of these overlapping figures creates a small 6 pointed figure within a large six point figure. Within these figures are downward facing triangles. The rim is a solid black and the bottom is a black circle with attached diamond points.
