This is a large Panamint basketry bowl. It has an unusual vertical design pattern. The rim has solid blocks of dark and light alternating around the basket with a solid dark band just below the rim. The vertical designs come up from a solid dark band at the base. The stitches slant left on a rod foundation. It has a few stitches missing on the rim and occasional single or double stitches missing on the body but the stitches are so narrow that these don't detract from the overall appearance of the basket.
